The Opportunity
Our client is a well-established, technology-driven agency execution specialist operating in the institutional trading space. Since being founded over two decades ago, the business has built a strong global network connecting institutional investors with liquidity across equities and fixed income, underpinned by a strong culture of innovation and client-first execution.
They are now looking for an experienced electronic trading sales professional to join their EMEA Business Development team, with a focus on growing their Execution & Quantitative Services (EQS) offering.
The Role
This is a high-impact, client-facing position for someone with strong relationships across European institutional markets and deep expertise in electronic and algorithmic trading. You'll be responsible for developing new business, re-engaging dormant relationships, and cross-selling the firm's electronic trading capabilities to existing clients, reporting directly into the EMEA Head of Business Development.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth & Market Expansion
- Drive revenue growth by partnering with transactional teams to increase client adoption of the firm's EQS products and services
- Work with sales teams to develop and refresh EQS marketing and client collateral
- Grow the client base across the region and reactivate dormant accounts
- Contribute to brand positioning, messaging, and client engagement strategy in the region
- Work cross-functionally with client-facing and product teams to identify new business opportunities
- Stay current on the firm's full product suite, including new developments outside EQS
- Proactively prospect new business, keeping internal stakeholders updated on progress
Strategic Leadership & Execution
- Help shape the firm's EQS client strategy alongside the Head of EQS
- Support integration of liquidity, products, and distribution channels to improve access for clients across the spectrum (existing, dormant, prospective)
- Propose new products, services, and revenue diversification opportunities
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Build and strengthen relationships with asset managers, brokers, and other market participants
- Represent the firm at industry conferences and professional forums, expanding its network and visibility
What They're Looking For
Essential
- Strong technical knowledge of electronic and algorithmic trading strategies
- Track record of managing revenue and delivering measurable commercial impact
- Established relationships across buy-side, sell-side, and exchange contacts in EMEA (and ideally globally)
- Solid understanding of equities market structure and workflow
- Strong awareness of the broader trading platform landscape — products, competitors, and market dynamics
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and leadership skills
- Comfortable working autonomously and cross-functionally
- Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills
Desirable
- European language skills
- Familiarity with multiple asset classes — fixed income, derivatives, FX, digital assets, delta-one, structured products, energy, and commodities
