Your responsibilities will include:
· Ensuring trading results and financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled during monthly, quarterly and annual closing periods, while preparing accounting analyses and balance sheet reconciliations.
· Maintaining strong financial controls, supporting internal and external audits, and contributing to the preparation and review of statutory financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards.
· Identifying control weaknesses and opportunities to improve accounting processes, while contributing to finance transformation, automation and continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with international stakeholders.
You will need to have the following experience:
· A Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics, with at least seven years' relevant experience in financial accounting, financial control or audit.
· Strong hands-on experience with month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes, statutory financial statements and external audits, alongside a solid understanding of IFRS, Dutch GAAP and Belgian GAAP.
· Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills, with fluency in both English and Dutch. Knowledge of derivative accounting, commodity trading environments, financial controls and corporate tax accounting would be advantageous.
