Right now many people who work in Financial Services in the UK are looking at potentially setting up a new life in Frankfurt, Dublin, Paris or Luxembourg etc. Perhaps it is worth mentioning that there is another Financial Centre which is not in Europe but is only an hours flight away. Geneva is not in the European Union and most likely never will be. They seem to be doing well.
As well as enjoying an income per capita which is 30% higher than London the mountains are less than an hour’s drive away offering the prospect of some of the best skiing or snowboarding in the world. The summer is long and being only three hours by train from the South of France the average day time temperature is circa 30 Degrees Centigrade. Sailing, cycling, water skiing , running and paddle boarding are all activities that take place either in the lake or along the waters edge during the Summer months.
It should also be noticed that many people that came to Geneva as ex pats have now stayed and have become totally integrated in to the community. Locals schools are free and University fees are very small compared to the UK. We are especially keen on talking to senior Physical Oil traders interested in making a move.
