Position Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Investor Relations and Business Development professional to be the face of our Fund in the Middle East. This is a high-impact role with a dual mandate:
- Capital Raising: To directly source, cultivate, and secure commitments from High-Net-Worth (HNW) and Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) individuals and family offices across the GCC region.
- Strategic Engagement: To support the firm in closing direct co-investment transactions and to spearhead our community building and market engagement efforts.
The ideal candidate is a finance-savvy professional with an existing network, a proven track record in raising AUM, and the charisma to build a powerful brand presence in Dubai's elite investment community.
Key Responsibilities
- Capital Raising & Investor Relations
- Develop and execute a comprehensive capital raising strategy targeting HNWI and family offices in the GCC.
- Proactively identify, prospect, and build relationships with potential investors.
- Manage the entire investor lifecycle, from initial pitch and due diligence meetings to closing commitments and providing ongoing reporting and communication.
- Articulate the Fund’s investment strategy, performance, and value proposition with clarity and conviction.
- Prepare and deliver sophisticated presentation materials for investor meetings.
- Direct Transactions & Deal Support
- Leverage your network to source and evaluate direct investment and co-investment opportunities that align with the Fund's mandate.
- Act as a key liaison in the region for transaction partners, advisors, and intermediaries.
- Support the investment team in the execution and closing of direct deals, providing local market intelligence and relationship management.
- Community Building & Strategic Networking
- Serve as the Fund’s primary ambassador in Dubai and the wider GCC region.
- Develop and lead a strategic plan for community engagement, including hosting and attending high-level industry conferences, private dinners, and exclusive events.
- Build and nurture a robust network of professional contacts, including private bankers, wealth managers, lawyers, and other key intermediaries who can refer capital.
- Elevate the Fund's brand profile as a thought leader and a trusted partner in the region.
Qualifications & Experience
- Essential: 7+ years of experience in a front-office role within finance, with a significant portion dedicated to capital raising, investor relations, or business development. Experience from a hedge fund, private equity firm, asset manager, or a private bank serving UHNW clients is mandatory.
- Essential: A verifiable and strong existing network of relationships with HNW/UHNW individuals, family offices, and key intermediaries in the Dubai/GCC region.
- Essential: A deep understanding of financial markets, investment products, and the alternative investment landscape (specifically hedge funds/private markets).
- Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. An MBA or CFA (or progress towards) is a strong plus.
- Preferred: Experience in supporting or leading direct transactions, co-investments, or deal structuring.
- Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Arabic is a significant advantage.
